Through Owl's eyes...

Swan photo By Owl

I found a bit of time to go visit Love Henry, created by Tahiti Rae at Lea 8.
Wow this is so beautifully done I wish I had found time sooner.
The layers of tradition, color, history, beauty, flowers, stone. water, grandiose elegance is incredible.
This romantic build is so gorgeous and deeply steeped in history.
Anne Boleyn and Henry the Eight’s life and times leading up to the tragic beheading.

“Anne….and Henry….exploded.
A match made in heaven.  Two people join to exploit their invincible new perspective of the world with the energy to conquer all.  The power of their union is perfect cause to pass it on to heirs and live the legend of their dynasty.
They share all and change the world, literally.
Purely through their chemistry they create a new elevation of happiness as an example for others to reach for, or…

Firestorm 4.7.3: are you ready to rock?!

August 19, 2015

Inara Pey: Living in a Modem World

firestorm-logoTuesday, August 18th saw the release of Firestorm This release comes a little later than had been planned, thanks largely to a series of last-minute blockers caused be assorted external influences (such as win 10 driver issues for Intel).

This is once again a major release, packing a huge amount into it, and which brings Firestorm pretty much to parity with the Lab’s code base. It also sees the return of the Linux 64-bit build to the fold.

Given the sheer number of updates in the release, I do not intend to cover everything here, but rather offer an overview of some of the more major / interesting changes, updates and  fixes to be found in the release.   for full details of all changes, and all due credits to contributors, etc., please refer to the official release notes.

2015 LoveFest is Here — August 15th to 23rd 2015

August 16, 2015

H.P. Lovecraft Festival

Yes, we’re back, for the 4th Annual HP Lovecraft Festival of SecondLife… LOVEFEST 2015,
scheduled for August 15-23, 2015!

– HP Lovecraft’s 125th Birthday
– “The Worlds of Lovecraft”
– “The Heart of LLhao”, a Lovecraft-inspired, multi-sim Adventure
– AUTCOM (The National Autism Committee), our long-term adopted charity returns.

The Lovefest SIM theme is based on the “Worlds of Lovecraft” so expect to see bits of the re-created real life and fantasy worlds of the great storyteller, H.P. Lovecraft.  From the insane asylum representing where both of HP Lovecraft’s parents died, to scenes from his famous tales (i.e., “The Lurking Fear, and “The Festival), you will be amazed, delighted and frightened by the sometimes mundane and other times fantastic sights.  The “Cabaret” facade will take you to the entertainment venue.  Look for the listing of all events on the side of the main-TP dome or visit this link

A Journey from Past to Future in Second Life

August 11, 2015

Honour's Post Menopausal View (of Second Life)

The McFly Project (moderate)

The last time I visited the LICK Sim Designs sim it was all about the end of the world. Although I was aware that the design would change, I had forgotten to go see what was happening until I saw this great post by Eddi Haskell.

The McFly Project (moderate)

Sera Bellic has taken inspiration from the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future (omg we’re old!) to design a journey for us.

It is another very successful design and it’s gorgeous!

The McFly Project (moderate)

We begin in the ruins of an old fairground. Once you make your way through the tall grass and broken machinery, you’ll find the entrance to an underwater passage.

The McFly Project (moderate)

The drawbridge in front of you will open if you wish – and if you do that you can make your way to a…
